Meeting Information

The Spring TDO User Meeting and Scientific Session will be held on Thursday, May 17 through Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, a luxury beach hotel located along the shores of Kiawah Island, South Carolina, just outside of Charleston.
 

Our meeting will be held at the East Beach Village. Check-in will be at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort Reception Center.

The early registration fee for the seminar is $1325 per TDO doctor and $525 per spouse/staff member. After March 16, 2012, the registration fee is $1475 per TDO doctor and $575 per spouse/staff member.

If you are a guest considering purchasing TDO, the registration fee will be $525 or $375 for Saturday only. If you are a postgraduate resident, the registration fee will be $250 or $125 for Saturday only.
 
 
Rooms are one-bedroom scenic villas at $219 per night. These are individually owned condominiums on the grounds of the Sanctuary Resort. To make room reservations call 800-654-2924 and reference the TDO Endodontic Group. Rooms are limited so please reserve early! This is a very popular resort so early registration is imperative should we need more rooms. Postgraduate students may request one bedroom units with a sofa bed for double occupancy. These are available on a first-come basis and aren't guaranteed. You may also choose to stay in a 2 bedroom villa; please inquire with reservations agent for availability and pricing.
 
 
Scientific Session will be held on Thursday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., where we will revisit the biofilm model of endodontic disease with Dr. Costerton and Dr. Epstein, two of the leading authorities on bacterial pathogenicity, in the hopes of developing a more nuanced understanding of the disease we confront every day in our practices.

The TDO User Meeting will take place on Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with optional afternoon sessions. We urge you to take advantage of these in-depth training sessions and this exceptional opportunity to meet your fellow TDO'ers and the TDO Team.

Special Events
We invite you to join us for a welcome reception from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the East Beach Conference Center (directly across from the Registration Center) Thursday evening.
 
We have planned a golf tournament on Friday afternoon at the beautiful Osprey Golf Course. We will have very special prizes for hole in ones. When registering, please specify if you wish to play in the tournament on the registration form AND contact Jan directly at . Green fees for the Osprey course are $156. Please be sure of your level of commitment because we need to make the tee reservations early and they are not refundable.

Other optional afternoon activities include kayaking, tennis, biking, and hiking.
 
Please do not miss the TDO dinner on Saturday, May 19, at beautiful Mingo Point facility. Mingo Point offers panoramic marsh views on the banks of the Kiawah River. There will be a bluegrass band, cloggers and even line dancing! Cowboy boots are welcome. You do not want to miss out on this unforgettable event.
 
Additional Golf Information:
The resort has five courses; their signature course is the Ocean Course, green fees are $271. Caddies are required for morning play; golf carts can be used after 12 p.m. Other golf courses are Turtle Point and Cougar Point ($156) and Oak Point ($100). When you make individual reservations, please let Jan know. Prices have been increased for 2012; our contract specifies 2011 prices.
